FAQ:

Is this event being run by Transport Canberra?
No, the Canberra Transport Museum will be running the event with the support of Transport Canberra.

I’m not a member of the Canberra Transport Museum, can I still come?
Yes you can, you just won’t be able to get the members price on the full day tour

Do you have any wheelchair accessible or low floor buses?
Unfortunately not as we are operating the outgoing PR100.2 high floor buses there is no wheelchair accessible vehicles at this event.

I am bringing a child in a pram, can I bring the pram on the bus?
Any prams will need to be able to fold up and can then be carried on board and placed in the luggage rack, we suggest bringing a small collapsible stroller for ease of use.

Will there be any toilet stops during the day?
The 333 runs will operate direct, only stopping at the bus interchanges, we expect these trips to take 45 minutes each way, therefore there will be no toilet stops however you are free to leave at any of the scheduled stops however we will not be able to wait for you to return. If you are attending the full day tour we have included scheduled toilet stops for drivers and passengers as well as a lunch break.

I need to leave for an appointment during the tour but wish to re-join for the rest of the day
If you need to leave the full day tour mid way for any reason you may re-join later in the day providing you have notified CTM staff and can get yourself to a bus stop along the planned route as we will not be able to divert the tour to collect you.

I am only visiting Canberra for the day, and will have a suitcase with me, can I leave this somewhere?
You will be able to utilise the luggage racks on the buses throughout the day although you are responsible for your own belongings, if you change buses, take your luggage with you.

I need to be back in the city by a certain time to get my bus coach/train back to Sydney
Where possible we will attempt to arrange a drop off for you to ensure you can make it to the Jolimont Centre/Airport/Railway Station in time for your Coach/Flight/Train however this may mean leaving the tour a bit earlier at another location i.e. Woden Interchange where you can then make your own way. Please let us know in advance if you need to leave early and we will do our best to sort out a plan for you.

Can we take photos and videos on the day?
Of course, we encourage this! Please ensure you are safe, don’t stand on the road, take your photos from a nature strip or footpath, check both ways when crossing the street and if on board the bus please stand behind the yellow line. If another attendee does not wish to be filmed or photographed, please respect their wishes.

I am just coming on the 333, how can I get back to Tuggeranong/Belconnen?
As we are only operating these one way, you will need to make your own way back to your start point, unless you are staying with us all day. Remember that Transport Canberra buses are currently Fare-Free so you can board the R4 to get back to your boarding stop. These run approximately every 15 minutes. CTM Staff can help with times and directions to the appropriate stop to board these.

If I join the CTM on the day, can I get the member price?
Yes you can, if you join on the day (Currently $5) you can access the member price of $20 for this event. Please note our membership runs the calendar year and if you sign up on the day it will only extend until December 31st, if you wish to stay a member you will need to renew in 2025.

Will you be using any other buses like the PR100 or PR100.3 on the day?
Unfortunately not, whilst we do have these bus types in our fleet for preservation we do not have any currently in the appropriate state to run in service, these are ongoing projects and we hope to have them at future events.

I’m interested in volunteering for the CTM
Great! Speak to us on the day or send us an email at info@ctm.org.au to get in touch, let us know what skills you have and how you can help us.
