CRS Guidelines

The Canberra Transport Museum, through affiliation with the Council of ACT Motor Clubs, offers financial members access to the ACT Concessional Registration Scheme and NSW Conditional Registration.

Vehicles must meet both the relevant registration requirements and our vision of preserving transport history.

Under these schemes, the Museum welcomes historic and preserved:

• Public transport vehicles, such as buses, coaches and taxis.
• Government and Departmental transport vehicles, such as COMCAR and parliamentary transfer cars.
• Fleet support vehicles, such as tow trucks and operational support vans.
• Road vehicles related to rail and air transport. Vehicles must be in an original, near-original or otherwise preserved condition.

For instance, a passenger bus should include passenger seating and other features related to its use as a public transport vehicle.

Registration of a vehicle with the Canberra Transport Museum is at the Committee’s discretion. Members must remain financial to ensure continued access to historical registration through the Museum.
